Gift certificates are a fabulous solution for the holidays. Yes, there’s gift cards to Target, Wal-Mart, Macy, the local restaurant, etc., but what about something unique:

Be a memory maker and give the gift of:
Psychic Reading (call me)
Massage
Reflexology
Theater tickets
Pilate’s lessons

The greatest thing about these types of gifts is it keeps our local economy strong, and it gives the recipient something to remember for a lifetime.

The 3rd episode of Max International on Direct TV was last week! If you missed the news on Direct TV about GXL, then, you can go to: www.max.com/126894 and click onto “The future of Max GXL TV, and you find episodes one, two and three.

My preferences are going to the athlete’s corner and watch those segments first, followed by the doctor’s in, and finally I watch everything else.

In addition to my body feeling like I’m 30 and be able to work out again like I did in college with ZERO RECOVERY, my spirit feels like it has gone through a major consciousness shift too. Life is so very awesome!

Raw Apple Crisp is one of my favorite desserts. Wherever I go, friends and family ask if I’ll bring an apple crisp. The best part is its easy and delicious.

Filling: Apples, agave nectar and cinnamon.
Grate 4-6 organic apples, place in a bowl and pour a ¼ to a ½ cup of raw agave nectar over the apples along with 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Toss really well. Next put the apples in a glass casserole dish and set aside.

Crisp topping: dates, salt, vanilla and pecans.
Take a pint (about 20 dates) of medjool dates, pit them and place in a food processor. Next add 2 tsp. to 1 tbls. of salt (sea, celtic, etc.), 1-2 tbls. of vanilla powder or vanilla liquid, and 2 cups of activated dehydrated pecans. Whirl in the processor until smooth. You may have to add a little bit of water to help get that smooth consistency. Evenly spread approximately a 1/4” layer of the date/pecan blend over the apples. You can cover it or leave it uncovered. Next is the cooking.

(I order my dates fresh from the date people, but if yours are from your local store, you’ll have to probably soak them for an hour.)

unCooking: Being raw I don’t cook it the traditional way. I place the glass dish on the bottom of my dehydrator and warm/dehydrate it slowly for 4-6 hours.

If you don’t have a dehydrator, go to my website, click products, then click dehydrator. Order the nine tray. For those that don’t have a dehydrator, you can in the meantime turn your oven to warm only and place the dish on an oven rake for an hour or two.
