Class: Belly Fat & Hormone Health
Maca, our herb of the day, is known as Peruvian Ginseng and is part of the radish family. And it helps to balance several hormones within the body. It stimulates and nourishes the hypothalamus and pituitary glands plus maca increases progesterone and DHEA, and it can prevent breast and prostate cancer. Maca also reverses hypothyroidism just to name a few of its amazing benefits.
King Montezuma was known to have had many wives and was known for his virility and fertility. His special elixir he drank each night before visiting his women had cacao and maca blended in it. Maca increases libido and sexual function and nicknamed nature’s Viagra. For we women who go through PMS,menopause and hot flashes, maca lessens symptoms. Maca is used as an alternative hormone replacement.
Maca also assists the pancreas by keeping blood sugar levels even and easing the workload of the pancreas during digestion. It also has both vitamin C and zinc in it.
So adding an herb that brings stability to the adrenals, thyroid, pancreas, ovary and testicular glands might be considered smart. Explore adding it to your daily power drink.
Disclaimer alert: Of course, consult your physician first.
